FWS JOB ASSIGNMENT & START DATE

All FWS job assignments for the 2026–2027 academic year are in-person.

The first day of FALL 2026 FWS is the start date listed in your Official Hire Email from the FWS Office. This date applies to all approved FWS hires and may vary by student.

CONTINUING FWS STUDENTS: If you worked in the FWS Program during the previous academic year, you do not need to complete new HR onboarding forms. You must still apply for and be offered a position and receive your Official Hire Email before beginning work.

NEW FWS PARTICIPANTS — HR NEW HIRE FORMS

After you interview for a position and are offered the job, your name and contact information will be sent to Human Resources (HR). HR will contact you by email with the steps needed to complete your New Hire Forms and onboarding process.

You cannot begin working, access timesheets, or receive payment until your New Hire Forms have been completed and accepted by Human Resources. Once your forms are complete, HR will notify the FWS Office.

The FWS Office will then finalize your hire and send your Official Hire Email to both you and your supervisor. This email confirms that you are approved to begin your FWS assignment and includes your approved start date.

Awards are per term and non- transferrable.
